We all live with risk every day, whether we realise it or not – so why should risk management be one of those subjects that can 'turn people off'? This webinar is intended to provide some food for thought by taking participants into the world of risk management in a way that will make it a practical governance tool rather than simply a compliance requirement.

Colin Langford, CPFA, CMIIA, ACIP, PGDipMA, BSSc Hons Colin Langford: Colin is CIPFA’s lead trainer and consultant on risk management and governance. He has delivered bespoke training programmes to a number of clients including Arts Council Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, as well as a large number of public training courses. Colin has also advised large public bodies and NDPBs such as the Northern Ireland Housing Executive on effective risk management and corporate governance. He joined CIPFA in January 2010 having come from the Health and Social Care sector where he was Head of Internal Audit in the Northern Area for seven years, responsible for the entire internal audit function, from strategic and operational planning through to reporting to senior management and a range of client audit committees. Colin holds membership of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors and CIPFA.
