The make-up of Northern Ireland's restored Executive has now been decided, with the two unionist parties making their ministerial nominations.

As expected, Peter Robinson MP, deputy leader of Ian Paisley's Democratic Unionist Party, takes the pivotal position of finance minister.

Nigel Dodds, DUP MP for North Belfast, takes another key job, as minister for enterprise, trade and investment, while Arlene Foster takes environment and Edwin Poots culture, arts and leisure.

For the Ulster Unionists, Michael McGimpsey will head health and party leader Sir Reg Empey employment and learning, where he will work closely with Sinn Féin education minister Catriona Ruane.

Ian Paisley junior takes on a role in his father's office, as a junior minister in the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister. His opposite number for Sinn Féin is convicted bomber Gerry Kelly.

In other DUP appointments Jeffrey Donaldson becomes policing spokesman, Iris Robinson is chair of the Assembly's health committee and Gregory Campbell chair of the social development committee.

The DUP's Robin Newton is nominated as chair of the Assembly's audit committee.

Previously announced ministers include Ian Paisley senior as first minister and Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness as deputy first minister; Conor Murphy as regional development minister; and Michelle Gildernew as agriculture minister. The SDLP's Margaret Ritchie will be the social development minister.
