Plans to impose a levy on large retailers in Northern Ireland were given the green light by Assembly members.
The Rates (Amendment) Bill will come into effect on April 1.

The levy will be charged on retail properties with a rateable value of £500,000 or more.

The revenue it generates will be used to fund rate relief for small shopkeepers.
