Oracle/ Public Finance: Financial planning and budgeting for health and social care integration

Local authorities and NHS bodies are increasingly pooling budgets to bridge the divide between health and social care, better manage ever-dwindling resources and ensure services are joined up and improve people’s experience of care.

However, pulling together finances and financial systems from two historically distinct sectors presents some significant difficulties and challenges, although with the right approach these can be overcome.
