Roger Davis has been presented with the Tom Sowerby award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to CIPFA student education.

Davis has spent the past 20 years as a member of the CIPFA examining team for the professional qualification’s case study exam.

CIPFA president Jaki Salisbury said Davis had been an ‘invaluable’ member of the examining team, taking on responsibility for the writing and co-ordination of many exam papers.

She said: ‘As lead author of the case study, his input has been immense. Without a doubt, he has been crucial to the ongoing success of this flagship part of the CIPFA Professional Qualification.’

The Tom Sowerby Award is presented each year for outstanding service to students.
