Sir Christopher Kelly, chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life, is to take over
as chair of the King’s Fund think-tank.
Kelly, who is currently heading an inquiry into MPs’ expenses in the wake of this summer’s furore on the subject, will succeed Sir Cyril Chantier on October 1.
He said: ‘The [King’s] Fund is recognised as the foremost independent commentator on health care in this country. It makes a major contribution to the development of health and social care thinking and practice. I am very much looking forward to supporting the organisation and overseeing its development at what is going to be a very testing time.’
