New Zealander Ian Ball, an honorary CIPFA member who is currently principal of Public Sector Performance (NZ), will take up the post full-time in June.
Ball has chaired Ifac's public sector committee and launched its public sector standards project. He succeeds Peter Johnston, who becomes Ifac's director of compliance.
