Public bodies are sitting on assets worth billions of pounds, much of which is not accounted for in balance sheets.

    Ian Ball is a professor at Victoria University of Wellington and the principal architect of the New Zealand Government’s financial management reforms. John Crompton, is a former investment banker and HM Treasury official with extensive experience advising governments on public assets. Dag Detter is principal of Detter & Co and former CEO of the Swedish government holding company Stattum.
