Northern Ireland's comptroller and auditor general John Dowdall, an honorary CIPFA member, was made a CB in the Queen's birthday honours list on June 14.
There were knighthoods for Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Ian Blair; Kenneth Collins, chair of the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency; TGWU general secretary Bill Morris; and Blackburn with Darwen council leader William Taylor.
Yve Buckland, chair of the Health Development Agency, was made a dame.
CBE awards included: Ian Bogle, council chair of the British Medical Association, and Derek Turner, former director of street management at Transport for London.
