CIPFA annual audit conferenceThis event is an ideal opportunity to hear from thought leaders in the field of governance and audit. Delegates will be told about the latest Public Sector Internal Audit Standards (PSIAS) developments and how they will continue to promote professionalism, consistency and effectiveness of internal audit across the public sector. To help with the implementation of these standards, the release of CIPFA’s Local Government Application Note will also be explored. The Department for Local Government and Communities has said that it now considers its use
alongside PSIAS to be ‘proper practice’. Speakers at the conference will include speakers from the International Commissioners Office, Janet Eilbeck, chair of the International Accounting Standards Board and Francis Nicholson of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
