Sian Thomas has been appointed as the new director of NHS Employers.
Thomas has been acting joint director over the past 12 months together with deputy director and director of operations Alastair Henderson.
NHS Confederation chief executive Steve Barnett said he was delighted with the appointment. ‘We had a strong short list but the panel were unanimous in believing that she demonstrated all the skills needed for this high profile and exciting role.’
Thomas previously worked in a variety of senior human resources roles across the health service.
