The board won the award for its development of the IPSASB Conceptual Framework, a key development in global public sector financial reporting that for the first time summarises the unique characteristics of the public sector and their impact on financial reporting.
CIPFA president John Matheson, said: “This framework breaks new ground and will shape the future development of international public sector accounting standards and public sector financial reporting more generally for many years to come.”
The award was established by Sir Harry Page, CIPFA President in 1968, and was first presented the following year.
