CIPFA honours top students

17 Apr 15
CIPFA has held its annual prize giving ceremony at its London headquarters, recognising excellent performance in its professional qualification exams.
Prizes were awarded to those students who achieved the best performance in each paper of the qualification. Winners included Tomas Bowring from Vale of Glamorgan Council, who won the Arthur Collins Memorial Medal, Jenny Hann of KPMG who won the Eric Gilliland Memorial Medal and Stephen Howarth from Cambridgeshire County Council, who was awarded the Richard Emmott Memorial Prize. CIPFA president Mike Owen said the ceremony recognised the hard work of the students. ‘This award honours outstanding students who represent the future of our profession, so I am delighted that they have been celebrated in this way,’ he said. ‘CIPFA’s PQ continues to be the bedrock for all those who wish to work and study in public finance management.’
