CIPFA has held its annual prize giving, recognising excellent performance in its professional qualification exams.

Outstanding students were honoured with cash prizes and certificates in a ceremony held at the institute’s Robert Street headquarters yesterday.

Prize winners included Cerys Ledger, of the London Borough of Merton, who won both the Arthur Collins Memorial Medal for best overall performance and the Eric Gilliland Memorial Medal for best performance in the strategic leadership paper. Harriet Taylor received the Richard Emmott Memorial Prize for best performance in the strategic financial management paper.

Eleven other students received certificates for best performance in other CIPFA papers.

Awarding the prizes, CIPFA President Jaki Salisbury said: ‘Very many congratulations to all of those who have received prizes, we're delighted that your hard work has been rewarded. It is a great honour to present these awards to such outstanding students who represent the future of our profession.

‘I am sure that they all have long and successful careers ahead of them.’

All of the winners were students at CIPFA’s Education and Training Centre. A full list of recipients can be viewed here.
