Welsh First Minister Rhodri Morgan has said failing public service projects will be cut in a bid to manage reduced public spending.
Morgan said details of which areas might be affected would be disclosed by Finance Minister Andrew Davies in the Budget later this year.
Overall public sector job losses would be offset by an increase in Department for Work and Pensions staff brought in to cope with the recession, he said on September 23.
Welsh Conservative leader Nick Bourne asked why projects that were already identified as failing by ministers were still being funded.
