From February 2, the complete publishing operation behind Public Finance magazine will have moved to a new home.

Last autumn, the CIPFA Group Board decided to contract out the management and production of Public Finance and its jobsite pfjobs.co.uk to a professional magazine publisher. After a rigorous competitive tendering process, it selected Redactive Media Group, which specialises in publishing magazines in partnership with membership organisations.

Redactive had already hosted Public Finance's advertising sales team ‘on secondment’ since the start of 2008, with encouraging results.

Among Redactive’s other titles are People Management for the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, Supply Management for the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, Leadership Focus for the National Association of Head Teachers, and The Marketer for the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

CIPFA continues to own Public Finance, operates a joint management board with Redactive, and expects to enhance its income from the new publishing arrangement. The existing staff of the magazine have transferred from CIPFA to Redactive under the Transfer of Undertakings (Tupe) regulations.

Public Finance is now based in Farringdon, a mile and a half from CIPFA’s central London offices. New contact details for editorial and advertising are listed on pages four and five. The e-mail and the website addresses remain the same.

It’s very much business as usual.
