Steve Douglas has been confirmed as the Housing Corporation's new deputy chief executive.
He will take charge of its multimillion-pound investment programme.
Douglas has been acting deputy chief executive since June, after former deputy Neil Hadden left to become chief executive of Aldwyck Housing Association.
Douglas joined the corporation four years ago as director of investment and regeneration for London. Chief executive Jon Rouse said: 'Steve brings a wealth of housing association sector experience to this pivotal role, in addition to his proven track record as field director for our London region.'
